Does anyone have any updates on the Washington Hebrew Congregation trial?
Last I saw posted, it had been delayed. It’s my understanding that one of the attorneys was arrested for allegedly downloading images of child sexual abuse (wow, hiding in plain site, am I right?) Does this affect previous judgments in the case? The crimes of one attorney shouldn’t reflect the families, or their day in court. The paper listed several law firms associated with this case. I’m just curious. Also, how has the predator, Jordan Silverman, not been arrested? CNN posted an article several years ago that abuse was confirmed by OSSE, and that Silverman was the perpetrator. How is this not sufficient evidence for at least an arrest? If he’s arrested they’d do a dna swab and get his finger prints. I understand the burden of proof in criminal proceedings is higher than civil cases… but how could DC MPD be so negligent? Not even an arrest??? A previous posted mentioned the criminal case has been reopened. Any updates? Silverman is still living in Bethesda and has access to children. As of this moment he doesn’t even have an arrest record, and he’s not in the system. Please tell me MPD is doing something. |
