Need a Dog Sitter ASAP

Anonymous
I no longer have relatives in the area or anyone that I can trust to leave my senior dog with. I have toured many boarding facilities in the past, but I do not like most of them. The only place that I like and used to take my dog to is in Howard County, but their policy changed and they no longer take senior dogs. I have a family emergency and have to travel out of the country.

Are there any places or sitters that you recommend in DC or MD that will care for a senior dog?

My senior dog goes to an in home caretaker from rover.com. They care for her like family.

Different if you need meds administered or specialized care. Then you are limited to the vet boarding facilities.

+1. My dog is not senior but I am devoted to a few sitters I have found on Rover. Highly recommend them overall and so far have not had a bad experience. I look for sitters who take one dog at a time and preferably have someone home during the day. There are a surprisingly high number of people who seem to be doing it not as a business but as a way to spend time with a nice dog in a low key way. Though not my case, I have seen many do take seniors and are ok with a least administering meds, not sure about specialized care above and beyond that (ie injections or more).
