WTF is happening in Pakistan?

Look at the news. Imran Khan arrested and violence in the streets; this comes after apparently the army HQ being stormed and fires on the streets of Lahore.

When is Pakistan going to get their act together? They have been almost decimated by floods, they're completely bankrupt and owned by China at this point. Now they're doing this?

This or versions of it have been the norm in Pakistan for its entire history. Don't hold your breath...

Im sure there others on this board who know much more about Pakistan than me; however even I know that anyone who tries to go against the military there always ultimately fails, and usually ends up imprisoned.

Their intelligence agencies gave Osama bin Laden asylum and worked against the US by supporting the Taliban. Hope they are taken over by a home grown Taliban like group.

The Taliban-like group would be the ones supporting Al Qaeda.

You’re acting like this is somehow newsworthy. When has Pakistan ever had its act together?

You can't ignore the British's culpability in messing up a huge portion of the world.

Sad about Lahore. Very historic city.

Unfortunately, radicals are indeed turning Pakistan into a failed state. I don't know if it IS a failed state already...but it is going that way.

Pakistan needs drastic structural reform. There is no other way.
