| I am starting it soon and am nervous about side effects. |
|
There are no serious side effects or risks that I know of. The hormone regiment is obviously an intervention, but I was told by one RE it’s quite mild compared to the roller coaster hormones that pregnancy unleashes, and going through my third pregnancy I can certainly verify that.
The shots really suck. But frankly breastfeeding is pretty painful too at first! Good luck. Try not to stress, that won’t help anything. |
Are the shots painful? Why do they suck? |
| The shots in the thigh (Lipton) are not painful. There are also ones on the buttocks (Progesterone) are like a big pinch. The most challenging part is the emotional roller coaster. Waiting to find out how many eggs you have to transfer. Drinking a ton of water before transfer. Waiting 2 weeks see if the egg attached to your uterus. Waiting for the pregnancy test. Checking your HCG levels. Praying they double. The disappointment if it doesn’t and you have to do another cycle. No real side effects for me that I remember. My son is now a teenager. It’s worth it. Good luck! |

The benefits far outweigh any minimal discomfort.
As to risks, can you be more specific OP? |
