| I don’t want anything but fun and entertainment. Any genre |
| Emily Henry books- they are all funny and good! |

Elin Hilderbrand.
My faves so far are the Winter in paradise series, winter street series (you should probably read that one in December), and the five star weekend coming out in June 2023. I hear the perfect couple and blue bistro are very good too - but I haven’t read them yet. The Winter in paradise series starts around NYE so that’s a good time to read it but it takes place in St John so it’s a beach location. The rest of her books take place in Nantucket in the summer. |
| Taylor Jenkins Reid books. I've really enjoyed Daisy Jones and Evelyn Hugo. |
| Emily Giffin |
| I love mysteries for vacation reading. I don't mind slightly more intense ones but last holiday one of the ones I read was The Appeal by Janice Hallett, and it is kind of a perfect low-stress, fast, funny mystery for the beach. |
| Smut for the beach. What about that? |
| Georgette Heyer or Dorothy L Sayers (specifically Have His Carcase for beach reading) |

Jack Reacher thrillers.
They are pure fluff, but extremely well crafted, as evidenced by the fact that serious writers are fans. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/oct/18/fearless-free-and-feminist-the-enduring-appeal-of-jack-reacher- "For stories to be as successful as these, they need to be read by people who don’t generally read. But what makes Reacher so fascinating is the books’ appeal not only outside, but within the rarefied circles of the literati – unlike, say, the work of Dan Brown or EL James. Their success with the grandes dames of literature is especially striking. Antonia Fraser is a fan. Kate Atkinson is a fan. Margaret Drabble, asked earlier this year by the Guardian what book she wished she’d written, answered: “Anything by Lee Child. What page turners, what prose, what landscapes, what motorways and motels, what mythic dimensions! I read, awestruck, waiting impatiently for the next.”" |
| I'm partial to David Baldacci and Janet Evanovich for the beach or long flights. |

+1. I read both of these on the beach, Daisy Jones this week. My all-time favorite by her is Maybe in Another Life. |
| When Life Gives You Lululemons by the author of the Devil Wears Prada. Has several of the same characters and it’s a fun read. |
| Anything by Elin hilderbrand |
| The Idea of You |
