Where to buy men’s suits?

My husband needs at least one good suit. He lait 40 pounds and his old ones do not fit. The last time he bought a suit was 2008, and geez prices have skyrocketed since then. where are men buying decent, non- polyester, stylish suits that don’t break the bank?

Can you afford hugo boss? They are miles above other options like Suit Supply. Which i was really surprised by - Suit Supply gets so much love on the internet, tim gunn etc, but i thought the quality looked fairly cheap, AND on around the 5th wear, the entire middle back seam split right open when DH leaned over. And he's in really good shape. He bought 2 of them, but i'm not sure if he wore them much after the first few times.

Hugo boss suits look stylish but made poorly. Their suits are fused meaning the lining is glued to the cloth and won’t last. It’s expensive for a fused suit at their price point.

Suit supply or even Brooks Brother will have half canvassed jackets which are made to move with your body to prevent strain on the material.

That's literally the exact opposite of DH's experience! (I'm the PP in the previous post). He has Hugo Boss suits that he's worn the shit out of for 6+ years and he looks fantastic in them all these years later (and they replaced ones he was wearing for years before that). Probably wears two suits rotating for a week-long trip every month.

As mentioned, the Suit Supply ones I thought looked so much cheaper when he came home with them (at my urging - I was the one who found that store and sent him there) and though I never said anything, he must agree because I think he only wore them for one trip and never again. As mentioned, one busted the whole back seam with a handful of wears. He said he would not buy suit supply again.
