Can you use baking soda from the big costco bags in baking? My normal small baking soda ran out mid-recipe.
on the label it talks about using in laundry and pools. https://www.costcobusinessdelivery.com/arm-%2526-hammer-pure-baking-soda%2C-13.5-lbs.product.11497119.html |
| Yes, as long as it hasn’t been opened too long. |
| Baking soda, right? Not laundry soda? If it just says baking soda and nothing else added to it you should be fine but if you really aren’t sure don’t eat it. |
| I take some out to put in a smaller vessel for baking, but once I’ve moved it to the laundry and opened it up I only use it for cleaning at that point; I can’t be sure how old it is or if it got sealed back up after use. But if I’m mid cookie prep and they’re just for us I would probably use it in a pinch! |

I have one mason jar in the pantry that I fill costco baking soda in and use for baking.
A small container goes in my bathroom, I use it to brush my teeth occasionally. The rest of the large costco bag of baking soda goes in the laundry room. |
| The description in the link says it's for baking. As long as it's Arm & Hammer, I would trust it. |
| You're talking about the yellow Arm and Hammer bag? Yes, that's fine for baking. |
