Online classes/discussion groups for older adults

Anonymous

My 79 year old father is mentally intact, with extremely limited mobility. I'd like to set him up with some type of interactive online discussion group. I went on Outschool, but that seems mostly geared towards kids/teens. Any suggestions?

Try the Osher Center for Lifelong Learning through Johns Hopkins or AU:

I’ve seen online Meetup’s that are book clubs around a subject like History, or group language classes.

See if your community has aging in place organizations (they often have village in the name). I addition to practical help they often have online meetups.

Plus one to OLLI DC. It's a very well-run operation and the majority of their offerings are online.

Some public libraries are also offering online book discussion groups.
