Travel Discussion
I've got a 3 and a 15 months old. DH and I are looking to get away to an all inclusive resort somewhere where there is a kids club, or something in the way of babysitting during the day for both kids. Ideally, something that isn't going to be outrageously expensive. Anyone have a good experience? TIA!
OP here - I meant a 3 year old and a 15 months old
OP - I haven't gone, but check Club Med and cruise lines. They have certain programs that have kids clubs/daycare!
OP, we saw this on the travel channel after we'd already made our plans for this summer. we are definitely going next year, though: turks and caicos, beaches resort for families. look into it. it looks like a beautiful place, with tons of stuff for the smaller set. good luck!
Look at Dreams, Riviera Cancun. Direct flight, nice new resort and modest price tag. Beaches in T&C comes with a huge price tag and looks like a prison compared to the other places (which are cheaper) in Provo
Any of the Beaches Family Resorts (Turks and Caicos and Negril, Jamaica, in particular) and any of the Family Club Meds.
We just went to Dreams La Romana with our 3 yo and had a good time. The kids club there starts at 3. She only went once though - they wouldn't let parents even see the inside of the kids club, which I thought was really weird. Also, it seemed that most activities were geared to kids a little older. Nevertheless, I would recommend the resort, I thought it was a really good value.

I haven't been to this place but I really want to try it.

FDR and FDR Pebbles are really good for families, but the beaches (and the food) are just OK -- certainly not the best Jamaica has to offer. However, the child care is great, and great for giving parents some relaxation time while the kids have fun.

I love The Tyler Place! www.tylerplace.com
Wonderful kid programs and great adult activities too. |
We also loved the Tyler Place in Vermont and went for several summers from the time our kids were toddlers through their elementary school years. It's got a very low-key, New England-y vibe, with a great kids program in the mornings and at dinner, so you can get a break from the kids, but still hang out as a family in the afternoons. It's not a glam place and works best for parents who love sports -- tennis, cycling, hiking, sailing, kayaking, etc. -- rather than just hanging out by the pool.

Club Med Cancun, great place, kids will have a blast. Easy to get there from Dulles. Super safe and secure, and affordable.

Piggybacking on this thread. Any suggestions that are not beach vacations? Sadly, Tyler Place is already booked! Thanks!
