Infertility Support and Discussion
| I have been going for multiple monitorings throughtout these past 2 years and looks like I always ovulate on the left side. My right ovary is just "sleepy." Is this something I should be concerned about? |
|
Have you been trying for 2 years without getting pregnant? If so, I'd talk to an RE right away. People wait way too long, in my opinion.
As for not ovulating on one side, I've heard that the other one often compensates. But again, a good RE could be very helpful here. Good luck! |
| Have you been doing monitoring for timed intercourse? Or, have you done any stim drugs? It may be a case where stim drugs may make some activity happen with that right ovary where it doesn't do anything on its own. I think it is definitely worth a visit to an RE if you aren't seeing one already. |
| OP here. I've been going for testing for the past 2 years. Since we only have a male factor, we kept trying to figure out what route was best for us. I got pregnant naturally during this time once, but miscarried (don't know why, the fetus did not have any chromosomal abnormalities). Now I am going to Dominion for natural cycle IVF, so I am not taking any meds. At least for now. I guess I will ask Dr. Gordon this question next time I see him. |
| So are you saying that you've been monitored every month for the past two years, or only a handful of times? |
| Yes, I've been monitored from time to time, not monthly. But I feel the ovulation pain monthly on my left side. |
