Does WISC score refer to GAI or FSIQ?

Anonymous

The Appeals form asks for the WISC score. Should I put the GAI or FSIQ ? The GMU counselor said to use the GAI score, just checking with others here.

Thanks

My kid score is 140 GAI and 132 FSIQ

You need to include the entire WISC report in the appeal.

If there's space, I'd put both scores in the form. List it as 132 FSIQ/140 GAI

The discrepancy comes from processing speed and working memory. Gai measures core abilities, and it is reported when it’s higher and really off of the FSIQ.

The GAI is more meaningful if there are ps and wm issues. Your kid has still two great scores.

Use the GAI when it's given.
