| I shop at WF and realize how expensive it is. What are cheaper alternatives where I can find good quality organic food? |
| I don’t think there is anything cheaper for good quality organic food. |
|
Walmart
Wegmans is probably cheaper than WF |
| I buy organic and shop at WF, Safeway and Trader Joes. I start at TJs first to see if their fruit/produce look good that week, then Safeway then the things I can't get anywhere else at Whole Foods. Sometimes (like today) WF may have cheaper products. Their 365 organic is low priced and their strawberries were on sale for like 3.49 today. |
| Everywhere will be cheaper than Whole Foods and you can find organic almost everywhere. Where are you and what’s nearby? The organic produce at my Safeway is great but I know it can be location dependent. |
| Organic is a crock. Have fun parting with big bucks for nothing. |
| Aldi |
| Trader Joe’s |

WF basic organic foods are not expensive. Safeway is more expensive for organic basics a lot of the times. Do a cost comparison of the same organic item in both stores.
Aldi and Lidl are cheaper when organic but quality of produce is not the same as WF most of the time. |
| I shop at Lidl, TJ, and WF looking for the cheapest at each. Items on sale at WF often are the cheapest especially produce. |
Wrong. Giant, Safeway and even H-Mart can be more expensive these days. |
How do you have time to be at 3 different grocery stores? How often are you shopping? |
| Le Dumpster Dive - fantastic produce |
| Costco carries a ton of organic products - more than WF. |
We buy the bulk of our groceries from Aldi, Trader Joe's and Costco. If you are going for the cheapest option(s) it's hard to beat this combo. We don't have a Walmart that is convenient but if we did that would be in the mix too for price. We do get some things shipped from there and occasionally if we are near one we shop there. Lidl is also good on price but again, we don't have one that is convenient. |
