If you gained weight with the Mirena

did it come off quickly after you had it removed??

I have had it for a few years and have had a lot of side effects (weight gain included). If indeed it is the Mirena that led to these issues, I am wondering how long it takes for the hormone to get out of your system and the body to return to its previous state...

I have had Mirena for about 7 months now, it was placed 6 weeks post-partum and too have had a couple small side effects. (Not including weight gain, thankfully- I'm trying to shake the baby weight) I was concerened about how long after removal it would take to get pregnant again and the doctor explained that she has removed a mirena and 3 weeks later patients have come in with positive pregnancy tests. So I would say almost immediatley. Good Luck!!
