help me find the unicorn of bathing suits

Anonymous
I am looking for a one piece bathingsuit that is medium to higher cut in front but has full butt coverage. I HATE the feeling of anything approaching a wedgie and everything flattering in front feels up my bum in the back. I have some boy shorts but am thin on top with muscular legs so they just aren't the most flattering look.

Any suggestions or is it just one or the other .. high or low cut legs?

I've given up looking for one pieces - they never fit, something is always wrong at one end or the other!

I used to look great in bikinis, but now my belly has decided to go permanently pudgy, I have to find high waisted bottoms that go with a cute bikini top. Sigh. So much time spent on a swim suit! It's ridiculous.

Look at Melissa Odabash. Several of the one-piece suits have decent butt coverage and they’re not as frumpy as Lands End.

Have you tried Boden? They are much less cheeky and pretty flattering. https://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/halterneck-u-bar-swimsuit-nero-paisley-vine/sty-s0204-blw

I bet you’d look great in a tankini/2 pc.

Are you saying you are smaller chested?

What are your measurements and body type?

Summersalt Sidestroke -- super flattering on me and covers everything!

The Boden black paisley is cute. Love the neckline.

Thanks! Some of these are very cute. I'll have to try and find where they're sold b/c I'm terrible about returns but those aren't cheapies!

I have one tankini in halter and like the top but wear it with a swim skirt that basically yells, I'M OVER 40!

I am very small chested and all boney up top with about 3/4 of my body weight stored in my butt and quads. I'm 5'2" and 108 pounds but somehow built like a speed skater.

Thanks for the various Boden recs. I do buy things from there so will take a look!

Do try Boden. I have had great luck with their suits.

The problem with one pieces, OP, is that the ones that fit your bottom will likely be too loose up top (I have the opposite problem - if the suit fits my top, the butt bags). If you do a slim tankini with fuller cut bottoms, you can buy the appropriate size in each.

Try Carve Designs - I found my absolute unicorn suit there.

No advice on the bathing suit, but if you'd like to take up speedskating, let me know. I skate with a local club, and we are always looking for new ladies in the masters division!

+ 1 for SummerSalt. Very cute suits and cut to cover the butt.

I have had good luck with Andie swim. The legs are cut higher in front but you can select medium or full butt coverage. They also very much stay in place come in long torso.

I ordered a couple Summersalt suits last year and just didn't like how the looked on me. But I've seen them on other people and think they can look really cute.

+1 for Andie, I now only buy their suits. They’re dropping their summer line tomorrow too.
