| DD is scheduled to take her driving test this week. What documents does she need to bring aside from her log of driving hours and her permit? I can't seem to find a list of documents that are needed online. |
| You also need the registration and insurance card for the vehicle she is driving. In addition, there can't be any warning lights on the dash. |
Thank you! |
You are welcome. One other tip I learned from one of my kids' mistakes is that she needs to make sure she doesn't rely too much on the backup camera when parking. She should look over her shoulder and use the mirrors to back up safely. My son failed for not using his mirrors "enough." Here is additional information: https://mva.maryland.gov/Documents/prepare-for-noncom-driving-test.pdf Good luck to your DD. |
| More than half a tank of gas. |
| Some testing sites are tougher than others. If she fails the first time go to a different location. |
| Did she already provide all the Real ID stuff? |
|
She is going to Annapolis. Any feedback on that location? She had 2 friends pass there, so she felt good about it (LOL)
I assume she did the real ID stuff when she got her permit (birth certificate/SS card/etc) Thanks, everyone. She is super nervous. |
| Also they are going to check the car lights, turn signals, and horn. That was unexpected for us — may want to check them all before you go so you know everything works. |
Yes. PP, whose son failed because he relied too much on the backup camera. That one experience aside, all three of my kids took the test in Annapolis. It's my favorite MVA office. The people there are uncommonly helpful and pleasant. |
