ADP to ASA travel or McLean soccer?

DD is 12 y/o and is aging out of ADP this year. We've never pursued ASA travel mainly because we wanted her to play other sports. It was suggested that she try out for multiple organizations which is why we also registered for Mclean tryouts. Any thoughts about the differences in the organizations? Can anyone give me insight and/or recs for the best path for someone entering the travel world this late? We're prepared she may not make any team.

A lot of clubs will still take new or developing players. LMVSC usually does. She would absolutely be placed on the lowest tier team for developing travel players. But kids improve quickly and catchup in 1 or 2 years and even surpass other kids with hard work and extra work outside of travel practice. I would seriously find a club that is closest to you in order make the commute to 3x weekly practices easy. Good luck!

We went from ADP to trying out for both McLean and Arlington. Arlington has more teams so numbers-wise it could be in her favor. This is also when they move to the larger field with bigger rosters. We ended up going with McLean and have had a good experience. Our DD's friends are on Arlington, McLean, PAC and Vienna.
