I received my child's NNAT scores in the mail today. The cover letter said it should include the NAI, raw scores, scaled scores, stanines, PR and NCE, but only the NAI and PR are listed on the Student Report. Did anyone receive the rest of the scores? |
FCPS is fantastic about leaving out pertinent information. |
We haven't received ours in the mail but in the past it definitely included more than just the NAI and PR. I would contact your school to inquire. |
I need these too. coverletter says somethings - actual score sheet doesn't reflect all those. I want to see Stanines. |
Same here. The letter came in today but only has scaled score and percentile. |
Haven't received the letter yet. I would contact your testing coordinator to see if you can get more info (usually the AP) |
Why? What do you think the stanine will tell you that the percentile doesn't? |
What is the highest possible score on the NNAT? |
160 |
Is the NNAT an "adaptive" test or is there a set number of questions? |
Same, we received a letter home and it only contained what the OP described. I don’t see how he’s supposed to improve if the report home is just the summary sheet. |
As these are scaled scores, what is the next best score after 160? 159? or some other number less than 159? |
These scores seem all over the place. |
There isn't anything to "improve" on - it's a report of your child's aptitude, not achievement. You get a one-time retake of CogAT OR NNAT if you feel your scores don't reflect your child's aptitude. |
Honestly, whether the NNAT score is great or not, I would not worry about it at this point. Next year: If CogAT is high but NNAT was low, I might get a WISC as a tie breaker. If both NNAT and CogAT are lower than 132, I would let the chips fall where they may. To me, that would be a signal that my DC will be fin in gen ed or possibly principal placed in LLIV. |
