If this is results from high school only, those are students that are not on grade level (Algebra in 8th is now on grade level across most of Maryland.)
I don’t have a link, this is from my student’s MCAP algebra results which show that 14% were Level 3 and 1% Level 4. Level 3 is proficient and level 4 is distinguished. The MCPS average was slightly higher than the state average. These are the results for algebra 1, regardless of what grade it’s taken in. Other parents whose kids took algebra 1 last year will have the same info.
