If you love the Subaru outback, then you should try…

I loved my Outback. It was a great car and the only things I didn’t like was how it ate oil and was a bit sluggish even with the 3.6 engine. However, I have recently found myself missing it a lot when I am driving my newer car. I’m actually considering going to do a test drive and getting one again even though I haven’t had my current car that long. I’m curious if you are an outback lover, what other cars you liked. My current car has much better acceleration than the outback, but the ride is just not as comfortable and I miss that. Can you offer some suggestions? Thanks!

I will never forgive Volkswagen for their lying and fraud about diesel emissions years ago. I don’t care how good people say the ID4 is, it’s a Volkswagen - and they are still guilty.

We went from an Outback to a Subaru Forrester. We like being a little higher up with all the safety features, etc. from Subaru.

Outbacks no longer use excessive oil. If you want better acceleration, buy the Outback with a turbocharged engine.

+1 on the ID.4, which is basically the same dimensions as an Outback and much more fun to drive than most small crossover SUVs due to the instant torque in the electric motor (or motors, if you get it in AWD).
