| Have no idea what I’m in the mood for, but tired of pizza and not in the mood for Chinese. Willing to drive to pick up- Alexandria, Annandale, Burke, Fairfax, Springfield. |
| How about a spread of Lebanese-- chicken shwarma, falafel, pita, garlic sauce, salads, hummus and other dips, rice. |
|
I like Chuy's in Springfield
In Burke - I like Raaga Tandoor for Indian |
| Oh I have another one in Springfield - did you ever do afghan bistro in Springfield? |
I’ve been meaning to try AB. Any recommendations? Nothing spicy. |
| Pho - perfect for a cold rainy day. |
Pho does sound amazing, but DH isn’t a fan. Maybe we can do Ramen. I wish there was a good chili place. Not a fan of Hard Times Cafe, and it’s difficult to find good chili that isn’t spicy. |
|
Pho doesn’t do very well as takeout IMO.
My go to’s around Springfield: Sushi/Japanese : Eggs and Sushi (great sushi, mainly takeout place) Tokyo One Chicken: Cocorico Nando’s Village Chicken Kabobs: Afghan Bistro Moby Dick Thai: Le Thai 29 Pad Thai - opened recently, very good! BBQ: Mission BBQ Saratoga Pizzeria has a decent bowl of simple chili, def not spicy. |
DP. Any of their kabobs aren’t spicy. Neither are any of the other dishes tried. Mostly a lot of flavor from different spices but not hot if that’s what you mean. |
I think i like the sabzi chicken. Is it just you or anyone else? Once we did this and it was nice: Dinner with Wine Special 3-course dinner for two with a bottle of wine. Includes appetizer, entree, side-dish and dessert. Vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes offered. $30 per person |
I think my husband got chicken kabob last time. |
| Thanks for all the ideas! Afghan Bistro is at the top of my list of restaurants to try, but a little too far away on a rain Friday night. But it did make me want some kabobs, so we got food at my favorite kabob place near me— Kabobistan. |
| Spartans (or Olympians). Great variety, something for everyone. |
