I am likely not her target demographic but how nice are these pieces for the price? https://susanshaw.com/
I don’t own any necklaces (except one from Chicos) if they tells you how little of knowledge I have for quality jewelry. I’m not looking to spend a lot of money but am I making a good purchase? |
No
It’s junk. They sell it on Amazon And all kinds of other sites |
You lost me "I own a necklace from Chico's" |
It’s gold plated and likely to tarnish quickly. |
They're...not nice. So, there is that. |
Just received silver coin necklace and paid over $90. Not worth it it, feels and looks cheap when you look at it in person. Only positive thing is the option of 16" or 20" length. As a person with bigger neck, the increased size was nice, but definitely not worth what they charge. Feels like its from Claire's and something an 8 yr old would wear, not quality. |
It is a costume jewelry version of Elizabeth Locke, which is a high quality copy of Elizabeth Gage. |
Stay away from gold and silver plated items. Pure or solid gold pieces last the longest. Gold filled items are fairly durable while being easier on the wallet than solid gold. I also love stone jewelry such as amethyst, jasper, labradorite, hematite, etc. |
They false advertise. Earrings were to be “ genuine white turquoise”. They are NOT. They are a white plastic bead, with holes on the side for stringing. |

I optimistically ordered some susan Shaw stuff and it was HORRIBLE. do not try. I was lucky to be able to return it in the limited window they offered.
Do NOT order from them. |

I had never heard of Susan Shaw. So I clicked on the link. Not surprised that someone who shops at Chico's would land on this. |
Not OP, but had to Google these jewelry designers. Looked up Elizabeth Locke -- meh. Looked up Elizabeth Gage, and desperately wanted to the first thing I looked at. Wow. Gorgeous stuff. |
OP I'd say you are their target market. |
