Treadmill question

I am thinking of getting a new treadmill and would love some feedback. Right now I am considering the sole f63- does anyone have this model? I do not want to spend more than a 1000. I am a beginner runner (jogger). Also, is there a place locally I should go look at the treadmills and a good cheap local place to buy or should I purchase though the internet? Thanks!

I have a treadmill and a cross trainer. I have to say that while I hate my cross trainer because we went too cheap, I can't think of anything bad about my $500 treadmill (which I bought 4 years ago). I use it daily and have never had a problem with it.

I bought my treadmill from Sears about 10 years ago, and it's still in great condition.

Dick's has Sole treadmills. Have you tried it? If not definitely go there and try it. It's a nice treadmill, but we went to Dick's to try the Soles and ended up buying a Livestrong - cheaper and we thought more comfortable. We've had it since fall and it's great. FYI one thing to keep in mind is length if anyone tall will be running on it - for that reason we only looked at longer treadmills (DH is tall).

Is a $1000 treadmill so different/ better than a $500 one?

We have the Sole f63 and love it. Feels like gym-quality and very comfortable.

Questions for you- does it take a lot of space? Is it easy to fold? Does to make a lot of noise when it is on? Is it easy to put together or did you have someone do it for you? Lastly, is it easy to move from one room to another? TIA!!!

No matter what type you get, keep your kids away from it.

9:15 here, sorry - just coming back to this thread. The treadmill actually does take up quite a bit of space, but it is easy to fold. It is extremely heavy so we haven't even tried to move it from one room to another -- but it doesn't appear that easy to move? The treadmill doesn't make a ton of noise, I can watch TV, etc. without having to blast the volume. My husband actually put it together and I don't think he had much trouble.

I am paranoid about having it around the kids so we always keep it unplugged. Right now it is actually getting more use as a laundry folding station ... but I think it is a great treadmill and would purchase it again.
