Longfellow AAP math

I understand that 6th grade AAP students need to get a certain Iowa test score to move onto algebra in 7th. Let’s say they don’t get that score, or if they do they still decide to take honors 7 instead of Algebra. Do they still stay in full time AAP for other subjects at Longfellow? And is the 7th grade honors a mix of kids from both GE and AAP classrooms?

My DC (AAP) is going to Kilmer next year. My understanding is the he will automatically be in AAP for language arts, social studies, and science. For math, either Algebra (if they qualify) or 7th honors, which can be a mix of AAP and those electing to to honors math.

Kilmer is an AAP center, but I THINK the math is the same across FCPS.

Longfellow only have AA and Honor classes, except math.
6th grader AAP will go to 7th grade AA classes.
For math :
Math 7 (GE)
Math 7 honors (GE + AA)
Algebra 1 AA
