| Lately ai have been enjoying a series by an Irish writer about faeries in Ireland. Her name is Trisha O Malley and she has written two series. What else might I enjoy? No vampires please! |
| Jayne Ann Krentz or her alter ego Amanda Quick if you prefer historicals |
|
The Dead Romantics
Dream Lake |
| Pamela Palmer books- she’s a local author! Skip her Vamp City series if you don’t like vampires, but try the others— Esri, Feral Warriors, Jewels of Time. |
| I like Ilona andrews, Jayne Ann krentz/Jayne castle, Patricia Briggs, (more space operaish): TA white, Michelle diener |
|
Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier
Magpie Lord series by KJ Charles |
| Is fairy folk paranormal or fantasy? |
|
Strong second the Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs recommendations.
If you like urban paranormal romance I'm really into Nalini Singh, both the Guild Hunter & psy/changeling series, though I think p/c jumped the shark a bit when she moved to "psy/changeling trinity" books. If you want more Irish + fairies, check out Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. I can keep going. This is my very public vice! |
I was coming to recommend this one. The series is a great read! I normally hate when someone other than the person telling the story jumps in and starts telling the store, but it really worked here (not until book 2 or 3?). |
We have similar tastes! I also like (from KU) the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross https://www.goodreads.com/series/276764-stay-a-spell Hall of Blood and Mercy by K.M. Shea (and the other Magiford series) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/51804106-magic-forged Kingmaker Chronicles by Amanda Bouchet https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59645282-a-promise-of-fire?from_search=true&from_srp=true&qid=4XeKACm5im&rank=1 The Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/7581.Kelley_Armstrong |
