| Men seem to be more tight-knit |
| Men are notoriously competitive with each other, not sure what you're talking about. |
| Men have more experience with competition. |
| Men are not insecure about themselves in the same manner that women are insecure about themselves. Women tend to want and go after what other women have. Men have more of a code. Women are damaged that way (not all, of course, but a good number). |
Really, you think? As a woman I have WAY more close friends than my husband does, and that’s true for most couples I know…. |
+1. Don't know any man with friendships as close as the several friendship circles women around me have ( aunts, sisters, cousins etc) |
| No way. Men are super competitive with each other. Maybe about different stuff than women, but more competitive. Women are much better about maintaining ties. |
Men don't spend as much time being petty and bean counting. Not in the same way women are. Women tend to be of the "WHY don't WE have THAT" mentality. Women can't be happy for other women like men can be happy for other men. |

Men are super competitive, but they compete differently. They are somehow able to tear up each other completely at work and then go to a bar to have a few drinks together afterwards.
Women are also socialized to be nice, and we are not allowed to behave like men at work or otherwise, so we have to find other ways. |

Men compete but their intrasex dominance hierarchy is relatively fixed—and more importantly, men accept their place in it.
There is no dominance hierarchy among women; every woman feels like the rightful mistress of her domain, and therefore they do not accept competitors for the throne as easily. It’s why polygynous societies never make it in any meaningful way, why nuclear families emerge as prosperity and opportunity rises, why a contentious MIL-DIL antagonism is so common, why the obedience piece of consecrated religious life is more difficult for sisters than brothers.. |
|
Because women are the underclass. They have more to lose.
I'm not some feminazi and even I know this. |
| Because we have way less eggs than they have sperm. |

This is why. And if you’re prettier than most women, forget it. Other women cut you apart and make you wonder what you did wrong. But no one will ever admit this is how it works. The research confirms it, though. |
| I’ve noticed that I’ve always compared myself to other females |
Are you contemplating transing? |
