I am looking for assistance with weight loss. Does anyone have experience with the Inova Nonsurgical Weight Loss Program? Or any other dr based programs in the area that they would recommend. |
I am still waiting for my appointment - they are booked many months out. So you might want to call and get on a list while you look at other options. |
I had a similar experience as the previous poster. My Dr at Inova recommended it but apparently that did nothing because the wait is until Aug. i would start looking for other places OP. |
Is this Ideal Protein? If so, it is very restrctive. I have known people on it who lost a lot of weight but looked skeletal andterrible. They looked a lot healthier once they started eating a little fat and gained back some weight in their faces. |
See Dr Rubino instead. |
I'm in the non-surgical (meal replacement) program. I contacted them in mid-March and started the program last week (I lost 8 pounds in the first week). You have unlimited access to the nutritionists plus they have weekly group exercise classes (both in person and virtual) and lectures. I feel really supported and am glad I joined. |
I’m on Mounjaro and have lost 55 pounds in 7 months. Have you considered any of these injectable medicines? |
This. I look back at how much I spent in programs and all kids is crap. Im on ozempic and yes it’s expensive, but yes it works. Lost a bunch of weight and now I’m focusing on working out now that my knees are no longer carrying excess weight. |
Same. Mounjaro has made a huge difference for me. I've been dealing with end of life times of friends (yes multiple) in the hospital, and without Mounjaro I would have found solace in food and gained these past few months. It's nice to have one less thing to worry about and am losing slowly (1 lb a week). |
Chiming in on how great Mounjaro is - combined with some regular light cardio and free weights I've dropped 50 pounds in six months.
