lightweight patterned leggings

Anonymous
Help me help my 75 year old mom.

She lives in Florida and worries about sun exposure. But it's hot.

She went to lunch with some woman in "really cool lightweight patterned leggings" but can't find any in local stores. She got one cute pair but they are more like thick yoga leggings. The pair she likes has a floral pattern and looks nice on her but I would have thought was specifically an older woman outfit. Then I looked around DC today and plenty of runners were wearing similar things.

Any suggestions? I don't wear leggings so am lost. (She is petite, if that matters.)

I'll bite. You can get leggings of all sorts and all shades and all materials so it will be hard to give you tips with the information you provided. Has she tried Amazon? Athleta? Lily Pullitzer. All those pull out choices when I google "floral leggings" but the choices are endless. Start there.

It’s that MLM company legging I bet. I forgot the name.

OP here and I wondered about that too. She asked the woman whose leggings she liked the most and got "online" as the reply to where they were from. My mom is the type to shut down easily especially if she thinks someone is being snooty so that was that. I wish I'd been there .. I have no trouble with snooty people!

I too googled and everything looked more like thick tights, which is why I thought someone that owned a thin pair might be helpful

Actually, when I googled "lightweight patterned leggings" lululemon came up and I gave up because every pair of leggings I've touched from them are thick lycra like things that pinched my calves.

Hi OP, try tennis places. Tennis players are always trying to protect skin with lightweight clothes. I have seen (and have) many gorgeous and lightweight long sleeve tops and rash guards out there. Never looked for leggings but try here: https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Womens_Tennis_Capri__Tights/catpage-WACAPRI.html

If you scroll down there are some flowered ones. Good luck.

Old Navy and GAP sometimes has floral patterns.

Does she like any of these? I have a few of the plainer pairs and like them because they're a lighter, cooler material than most athletic leggings. They're expensive, but wash well and mine have really held up.

they have a very cute gingham, pattern as well and the swim leggings I have are very comfy and thin.
