Pretty basic classes, teachers seem to have the standard 200hr training. Studios are clean, but nothing special. Any ideas? It baffles me. Generic, but solid sequencing. Sixty minutes of yoga for $34 though... Craziness. |
The instructors are paid crap |
Op here. Really? That’s horrible. I was hoping someone would pop in and suggest otherwise. |
I don't get the appeal of these boutique places. For a $50 a month membership at Crunch I get unlimited classes, with multiple options per day for yoga, pilates, and barre classes. Is there a real difference in quality? |
OP here. Gym yoga can be a crap shoot, but if I had a gym near me that I knew had great yoga teachers and was affordable I'd go there in a heartbeat! Lucky you to have Crunch nearby ![]() |
Get ClassPass. I average $17/class at CorePower. |
OP here. Thank you! I had no idea ClassPass was still around. Even though I didn't love CorePower, they are only a block from my place so I'd like it as an option. |
I teach at corepower. $17/hour. Yet a black tag membership is nearly $200/mo |
OP here. That sucks. They are seriously underpaying you! Do you at least get free classes and discounted workshops? I stopped teaching when I had my son 10 years ago, but even at independent studios I was getting at least $35-45/class and other studios (e.g., Circle) gave a % share. |
Hi, it’s OP again. I just thought about my response and realized it was pretty rude re: your pay. Sorry for that. |
