| Three kids, two forward facing one rear facing for at least another 1.5 years. We thought we were going to get a minivan but rented it and hated it. So, back to the drawing board. We really want a plug in hybrid, I really like the idea of the Volvo V60. Does anyone have a wagon and get three across in the back? |
| V60’s are tiny. For a family of 5?? |
| I have an xc70 and fit 3 car seats across. At first, it was two radians and a bucket, then three radian. Still driving it. Honestly, kids fit better when they were in boosters and car seats. Now that they are tweens they like the mini van bc they can spread out. I still like and drive the Volvo. |
Same. Old one. Great car. |
We test drove one three years ago and concluded that the V60 was a 2 kid back seat - but you can take a car seat/boosters to the dealership and test yourself |
| what did you hate about the minivan? |
Not enough trunk space (it couldn't fit our load of groceries) and I didn't like climbing way into the back to reach the kids. They're really little and I want them within arms reach. Maybe a minivan when they're older. |
Put them 3 across in the Odyssey and fold the third row, plenty of room for groceries. |
If you thought a minivan cargo area was too small, then you’re barking up the wrong tree looking at wagons. Your only option is going to be Expedition or Suburban. PP is exactly right. Do the three seats across in a minivan, third row folded. There is literally nothing else, barring a 15-passenger Sprinter or something, that will give you more space. And access to all three kids will be easier than in a station wagon. |
