Hey all. I joined equinox at the beginning of the year and immediately bought a large package of personal training sessions. I’ve gotten decent results both from a fat loss and strength perspective from 3x/week training sessions. Now my sessions are almost up and the trainer is encouraging me to purchase more - I suggested 1x/week training with her but she discouraged that and wants me to sign up for 2-3x/week. Quite frankly this is not in my budget. How do I get her to back off? |
By using your words. |
“Sorry, I don’t have the capacity to do 2-3x/week, I’m just going to stick to 1 time a week for now.” |
Congratulations on your accomplishments of weight loss & increased strength.
Tell the trainer that your budget limits you to once a week & that the continued sales pressure is driving you away from her. |
Tell her that if 1X a week doesn't work for her, you're happy to find a different trainer that can accommodate that. |
+1 what is the problem? |
She’s not a mind reader. Just tell her that once a week is your budget and you understand if she wants you to work with a different trainer. |
I switched to half hour sessions that made a difference. See if they’ll offer that. But really just say it’s not on your budget. You can’t. They work on commission they will understand even if they want to make that cash a roni. |
Hi guys I have first world problems and don’t know how to solve them |
Welcome to DCUM! |
+1, I left my big girl underwear at home. |
Sorry it’s not in my budget. I can do 1x a week. |
Say it’s not in your budget and you will train on your own the other 2 days. Working out 3x/week is better for your fitness goals, obviously, so she isn’t just being pushy to get paid (though that is also a motivation). |
Jealous much? |
LOL of what? That OP doesn't know how to use her words? Hilarious. |
