Just got kids MCAP scores from last year! Is this normal?

| We are new to MCPS. My current 5th grader just got her MCAP scores from 4th grade mailed to us! Is this delay normal? How is information from an entire year ago helpful to us? Obviously the schools have the data earlier and use it (she got rec for magnet program in ELA and selected) but I had no clue any of these scores meant anything. And now one year later they are worthless anywho to us. Not sure if everyone gets them 1 year delayed or if this was an error or if you can see the scores on parent Vue or something? |
