| I have some fresh mozzarella I need to use up. We are having fancy grilled cheese and tomato basil soup for dinner tonight. Will fresh mozzarella melt in the hot soup, or would it be better to just add it to the grilled cheese? |
| Mozzarella would very likely melt in the hot soup and get all stringy. I'd make a caprese sandwich/salad (although that might be tomato overload..) , or just use it for the grilled cheese. |
| It shouldn’t but I’d use it to make sandwiches (probably pesto, not caprese) since you already have tomatoes in the soup and cheese on the sandwich. Why double up on cheese or tomatoes? |
