| Well OP none of us know what “scenic” means to you. And if you’re planning to retire there, you don’t want a cabin in the middle of nowhere. You need to be near healthcare and other services. |

PA, MD, NJ, DE, WV, and arguably NC (if you time the traffic from Roanoke Rapids or like Rocky Mount). |
I have friend who retired on river near annapolis in small house for less than that - but maybe prices have gone way up in the last 5 years? |
Scenic means near mountain, beach, river or lake. I do need to be near healthcare and basic necessities. |
