I would like to imagine that his career is over. But this is Maryland and a lot of Delegates have been convicted of crimes.

I am going to guess what is not being mentioned is that there is a domestic angle here.

A D16 member was arrested on a domestic some years ago and nothing happened to her. She just got promoted to the Senate even.

That was an incredible story regarding Ariana Kelly.

Domestic disturbance with her ex husband where she exposed herself outside the home- and in typical MD politics fashion, nothing really happened of any consequence.

So far it's an arrest based on 'he said, she said.' I think there should be a conviction or independent evidence (hopefully this is the case) before there are repercussions.
