What testing is recommended after two failed euploid transfers? I have asked about immune testing and RPL testing but have been told that these are not necessary at this time. What else should be done before a third transfer? I am contemplating switching clinics in order to have more in-depth tests done but am about to have a third transfer and am not sure it is worth switching at this time.
Are they still doing ERA testing? It was a big thing when I was at SG in 2018 but I don’t know the current wisdom. In my case they found that I needed an extra day of progesterone for the FET. I don’t know if that was the reason or just coincidence but my 3rd transfer worked.
I am doing a modified natural protocol for the 3rd and have been told that the ERA is not relevant for this protocol.
Clinics are still doing ERAs and I did one just 6 months ago (Also two failed transfers of normal embryos). However, I would not do it again. I have since read the most recent recommendations and research and there is no evidence they provide guidance compared with the protocols that doctors have been using for decades. My ETA came back pre-receptive and the next normal embryo transfer still failed. Proceed with caution is my advice.
