Spring conferences?

Does your MCPS school hold spring conferences? We have a first grader and had one in the fall (just one during kindergarten too). My sister is a teacher in a different state/district and she was surprised that our school doesn't have spring conferences. Is that an anomaly or common?

The fall conferences are the default in MCPS. Parents can request another conference in the spring if there are issues to discuss, but it's not a standard thing that's suggested for everyone.

Pretty standard to only have conferences in the fall all over the country.

I have teacher friends/family scattered all over the country? We talk about these things? Not rocket science.

NP. We used to live in MA and it was common there to have two per year. But districts/schools were smaller and that was far from the only thing that was different!

My kids are in MS and HS and there are no conferences at all anymore unless there’s an issue.

We had them when our oldest was in mcps. Two a year.

K-12 in MCPS, one is a sophomore in college, the other is a senior. We have only ever had one (Fall) conference

Lived in three different states before relocating to MD-one a year in every state for us. (Fall)
