529 reimbursments for off-campus housing

I know each school publishes their Cost of Attendance with the itemized expenses, one of which is housing/boarding and that includes meals.

I know you can get remimbursed for off campus housing from the 529 up to the stated cost amount in the COA but does that include the stated meal cost that is included with board? That doesn't seem right.

Anyone done this?
