I waited 2 hours for Pittsburgh tickets. The message never said "sold out" or "unavailable." That some bad service, but I know Ticketmaster doesn't care.
Why not let me choose other dates then? I. Waited. Two. Hours. |
What was the point then? I’ve been a CO member for years. How do they differentiate and some people get through? |
| Cincinnati sold out |
|
Minneapolis Friday seems to be gone, if anyone cares. I was actually offered a pair of tickets, but at $300+ after fees (the 100s level). Decided I only want to see her at nosebleed prices, so I let them go. Did another search just in case, and by that point all tickets were gone even for singles.
FYI, started at 2000+, but it moved much more quickly than Philly (where DH was trying). |
| Will there even be tickets for sale on Friday? |
I was also a long-time CO customer, so I see what you’re saying about newbies. But from the company’s perspective, new sign-ups are a success. |
| So given that most tour dates are fri/sat/sun or occasional thurs, do we think additional tour dates might be added at the current venues (so more shows in Philly/NJ etc) or that they may open up additional midweek dates in other cities nearby? |
Of course. The number of tickets held back for presale is not the full capacity of the stadium. But you’ll be competing with many more people, including probably bots, so your chances are about as good as playing the lottery. Some people win, I just wouldn’t count on it. |
Yes. The reason they’re selling out so fast, is that there is only a set number of tickets released for pre-sale. It probably be won’t be any easier to get them on Friday, but they will be probably more available on Friday than today. |
| So how does StubHub have tons of resale tickets now if they haven’t been released? |
The website bookies.com said your odds would be 5% on Tuesday, 2% on Friday. |
| still showing 2000+ for Philadelphia. is there no chance? no change since 2pm |
bc they swept them up during the presale and are now reselling them. |
That’s a good question. I have a friend who works for a handful of big-name concert tours, and most definitely do midweek shows. That would seem to make sense, too, from a standpoint of not keeping your crew and equipment tied up for days and days when they’re not actually working. But maybe TS wants more downtime. Or some other behind-the-scenes issue…. Someone upthread was speculating that the weekend dates are being used to gauge interest and that more dates will be added to the most popular cities. That seems like a good theory too, though I imagine everyone would already know that at least some venues, like NJ, have enough interest to support more dates. |
I thought TM hadn’t sent the tickets yet and was preventing verified fan tix from being sold for more than face value? |
