I think this is a YA phenonmon mostly, isn't it? My 15 yr old DD told me about it.

Reads with Rachel - she’s fun, smart, and snarky. Not afraid to call out authors for being problematic

My Name is Marines - so insightful I’m surprised she’s not working in publishing or writing.

I love mynameismarines also. At first I Gnight sue was annoying due to the giggling but now I find her so smart and with an infectious laugh. Another one I love is jesseonyoutube. I don’t even like the same books they do, but I love watching on YouTube.
OP here - I’ve never watched YouTube before this but I’ve become a bit obsessed, especially when they don’t like the books.

OP here. There is a lot of YA generally, YA and adult fantasy, and romance, none of which I like, but also there are other genres as well.

Thanks for the recommendation! Marines is probably the reason I downloaded tiktok. Her literary criticism is awesome, but she also manages to make me laugh with her observations of bookish social media, authors, etc. Her Sarah J. Maas posts are hilarious.
