| SJCHS colleges? |
| Just look at their Instagram and keep in mind that they have a really good sports program. |
| The 22 scholars program class had some really good admits. |
| It looks like only the scholars kids get into good colleges. Regular program not good at all—Elon, Mississippi, Clemson, Arizona. So basically if you are in scholars you are fine for outplacement but everyone else not so much. |
??? Where the heck would you get that information? College acceptances are not broken out into Scholars vs Others! By the way, it is tough to get into Clemson! |
| I believe the scholars kids have an ‘S’ by their names to distinguish them. |
| You obviously don’t know enough about SJC. Their mission is to serve a wide variety of students. They walk the talk. If you don’t believe in that mission, you have other choices that would probably be a better fit. |
NP where did you get the impression PP does't believe in the mission. I think they were just pointing out that there is only a handful of kids getting into top colleges. That isn't a lie. |
And? |
| Clemson is a great school and definitely not an easy admit. Elon too for that matter. People on DCUM are nuts. |
You miss the fact that SJC has lots of D1 athletes. I don't know which of their students are going to Clemson, but if you have a 1600 SAT and are a 5 star recruited football player...you are still going to Clemson even if Harvard wanted you because you are hoping to play for the NFL. Unless you really know the students at a bunch of the WCAC schools, you won't understand the college matriculations. |
| The St John’s “scholars” pp chimes in on every SJC thread. The “scholars” label is marketing and ego. Any student can take the highest level classes, just like the “scholars”. |
They won’t all be successful at it and have to test into it, moron. |
|
There are always posters around ready to tee up some hate for the area privates who serve a variety of learners. Doesn't matter if some of the students are accepted to ivies, if every kid didn't have to have top test scores to get in they consider the school "a joke".

You have low standards. Neither is ranked very high. You must be a southerner. |
