NAC2021-70 on Class Schedule for Next Year

What does NAC2021-70 (Advisory70) mean on the schedule for my raising 9th grader? Is this an actual class period? Sorry, we are new to MCPS.

Yes, it’s an actual period but not everyday. Most schools have it 1-2 times per week. It’s to help the students engage in the community, talk about issues or be provided inforation(usually via a prompt), and sometimes catch-up on work. It’s a short period though.

I get " Online course request selection is currently not available at this school " for my child who starts 6th next year.

Not all schools have synced next year's schedule to parentvue. Our MS finally did, but even so it's not correct. They said the correct schedule won't appear until June.

Even if they appear in June, they don't finalize them until late August.
