My husband needs a very good cardiologist asap. Can anyone recommend one? We live in Northern Virginia but are willing to drive out further if necessary.

Dr. Taheri at Virginia Cardiovascular Assocs - they have an office in Fairfax, Manassas, etc. See link. He is WONDERFUL - very smart, listens to the patient, answers questions well. Highly recommend!!!

I'm interested in suggestions as well, also for my husband. He recently visited Dr. Michael Chen at Cardiac Associates (http://www.cardiacassociates.org), and the doctor was professional enough, but lacking interpersonal skill. The key, though, is that it so happened all the testing done (stress test, couple of others) have not helped to diagnose the abnormal feeling my husband has at times in his heart area. All that, and we were mailed a bill of nearly $500, which was unexpected (we understood everything was covered).
Dr. Jack Flyer. He's awesome.
second vote for Dr. Taheri - wonderful physician!
21:57 here: I know this will vary according to individual medical coverage, but as I mentioned, we were not expecting to receive a bill for the services my husband received. It seems, if I'm reading our coverage booklet correctly, that anything dealing with specific medical concerns (i.e., not the yearly "routine examination") is subject to the pricing breakdown of the various services rendered. It's likely my husband will have to have more testing, perhaps with one of the recommendation doctors given in this thread. Have posters here also experienced this, with charges for the various cardiac tests?
(sorry, one of the "recommended" doctors...)

My OB recommended this cardiologist when I was pregnant. His office is in the Foxhall building.
