Is this a healthy dinner? Pouring frozen cauliflower into a boiled pot on the stove for 10 minutes

And then eating it out of a bowl. Sometimes I add butter, salt or spices to it, but generally not.

Are you asking if a bowl of plain cauliflower is healthy?

I mean, it's not going to clog your arteries, but it is not dinner with enough nutrients or calories.

I mean I guess it's healthy in the sense it's low on sugar/carbs/fats, but it's also low on like. Protein and vitamins and basic nutrients? But if it works for you, carry on I guess.

NP. To make it a more complete meal, add: lentils, green veg, some healthy fat like nuts or avocado or Parmesan. But honestly "healthy" isn't one size fits all so it really depends on what works to make your body feel the best.

Make small pieces of cauliflower. Steam it. Add some sliced raw carrots, chopped fruits like apples and oranges, a can of drained chickpeas, some diced green onions, some chopped boiled eggs, some washed and chopped spinach, some spices (cumin or zaatar), some lemon juice, maybe some feta or olive oil.

Call it a salad.

I mean it is healthy in the sense its a plain vegetable. Its unhealthy in the sense that it isn't enough for dinner, is missing key healthy components, and sounds like you have an eating issue.

Why not add chickpeas and olive oil and spices and roast them together - adds the protein and just as easy - and tasty

In general, foods aren't healthy or unhealthy, overall diets are less or more healthy (though obviously your diet should contain more of some foods than others). If you like cauliflower and it's balanced with protein and fat with in other meals on that day or other days, go for it.

A few times a year when we're on vacation, we'll stop at an ice cream place and have ice cream for dinner. It's one of our kids' favorite memories, and - in combination with all the other meals over the year - it's perfectly healthy.

Youre probably losing a lot of the nutrients between it being frozen and then boiled for 10 min. Get fresh cauliflower and roast it. Get healthy oil and add some seasonings.
