Well designed “Town Center” ?

Is there any around here ?
What do you think about Pike and Rose or Silver Spring.

There are some good town center areas in Loudoun County, but that doesn't seem to be what you are looking for. Brambleton comes to mind, as well as the communities adjacent to the new silver line stops.

Maybe Columbia MD? It was designed to have town centers that encourage neighborly-ness etc

Reston ?

None. All of the Towne Centers around here are Potemkin villages.

Town centers in Columbia? You mean strip malls? Strip malls don't make town centers.

The faux "town centers" pale in comparison to any average new england village with a town green built on a solid grid network of streets.

It is so sad what we have come to "appreciate" with public gathering spaces in our society.

There’s good ones like One Loudoun or Reston and crappy ones like Stone Bridge in Woodbridge.

The things on this list are malls, not “town centers.” I don’t think a mall built to look like a fake town is the same thing.
