Hello,
We have a VERY active baby that loves to roll, squirm and escape from anything that ties her down. She’s had a few close calls with falling from the changing table. Luckily our table is low to the ground but it’s still nerve wracking esp when we need to change her so frequently. Do people have any recommendations on changing table set up, tips, or brands for infants that need extra safety? (Is there a table that’s low to the ground and has multiple straps or guard rails…) Thanks! |
| Your body should be blocking her body's ability to roll off the changing table. Plus, you should always have one hand on her at all times while she's on the changing table. If you're that worried, get a changing pad and change on that, on the floor. |

Stand so you’re blocking her from falling.
Change her on the floor. |
| Floor. |
| Hold her still and distract her with a toy. They only do that for a bit and then understand. |

| Floor is much less stressful. |
| Op here: thanks all! Floor and changing pad it is! |
| If not on the floor, you need to have a hand on the baby all the time basically. |
| Floor changing is easier on your back too. |
| Floor is the only acceptable spot once your baby can roll. |
You will eventually have to shift to the floor anyway, might as well be now! |
