Song bridge that is stuck in your head right now?

Mine is Taylor Swift's Cruel Summer bridge

I'm drunk in the back of the car
And I cried like a baby coming home from the bar (oh)
Said, "I'm fine, " but it wasn't true
I don't wanna keep secrets just to keep you
And I snuck in through the garden gate
Every night that summer just to seal my fate (oh)
And I screamed for whatever it's worth
"I love you, " ain't that the worst thing you ever heard?
He looks up grinning like a devil

And I wonder....
When I sing along with you.

Ooh, when I look in the mirror
I'll melt your heart into TWO
I got that superstar glow, so
Ooh (do the boogie, like)

Am I stranded
On an island
Or have I landed
in paradise

That's the opening lyric, not the bridge? Great song, though.

For me, there are a lot of great bridges in songs but the one in Counting Crow's "Rain King" has always been a favorite.

Most songs follow an A/A/B/A format. The bridge is what takes you back from B to A. Typically a change in key or tempo that is complementary to the main key/beat.

So like:

Verse
Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus
Bridge
Verse
Chorus.

It’s a part of the song structure, along with verses and the chorus. For example, the bridge in “I Saw Her Standing There” is the part that goes

Well, my heart went “boom” when I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine

So it’s

First verse
Well, she was just seventeen
You know what I mean
And the way she looked was way beyond compare

Chorus
So how could I dance with another (Ooh)
When I saw her standing there

Second verse
Well she looked at me, and I, I could see
That before too long I'd fall in love with her

Chorus
She wouldn't dance with another (Whooh)
When I saw her standing there

BRIDGE
Well, my heart went "boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine

Third verse
Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her

Chorus
Now I'll never dance with another (Whooh)
When I saw her standing there

BRIDGE
Well, my heart went "boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine

Fourth verse
Whoah, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long I fell in love with her

Chorus
Now I'll never dance with another (Whooh)
Since I saw her standing there
Oh since I saw her standing there
Oh since I saw her standing there

One of the best bridges ever IMO. Just stunning lyrically and vocally.

I made my bed, and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets, and I don't mind saying
It's a sad, sad story
When a mother will teach her daughter
That she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better
Shut up and sing
Or my life will be over?

This one haunts me. From Gin Blossoms’ “Competition Smile”

Now I've thrown something far
And it haunts me like a curse
I'm like a stone
Falling hard
And I'm only getting worse

Hmmm its is the opening but that lyric also plays again after the 2nd verse followed by instrumental. That's a bridge, no?

Best bridge is a pop song ever?

Dancing On The Ceiling by Lionel Ritchie.

I’m serious.
