The Apple Card/Apple Pay….do I want this?

Anonymous
Recently bought a computer and opened the Apple Card so I could finance it with 0% interest, but once I pay it off later this month do I want to close the account or keep it? It’s essentially a credit card with a $4000 balance. But is having Apple Pay connected to your phone something beneficial? Or can I just use my other credit card for purchases from my phone instead? What are the benefits/downsides of having Apple Pay? And what the heck is Apple Cash?

I like mine. No annual fee, I can use it overseas without an extra charge, instant cash back in the form of Apple Cash, 2% cash back for ApplePay, and the APR is lower than any of my other credit cards.

The one issue I have is the rather crappy customer service. It's automated through chat, and the one time I needed help it took days to get a human to actually call me.

Apple Cash can be used as a cash card or you can transfer the cash to your bank account. Takes 1-3 days at no cost, or instant transfer for a small fee.

You can have Apple Pay without an Apple credit card. Any credit card can be linked to Apple Pay.

I like the Apple Card, FWIW. I use it to buy Apple devices with 0% interest. I usually have the cash to cover them but it's nice to spread it out over a year with no fee.

I use Apple Pay on my phone every day but do not have an Apple card.

I like that the CVC code changes regularly and you can change the whole card number at the push of a button

I use Apple Pay on my phone and watch but don't have an Apple card.

I like the 2% I get back on the Apple Card, and enjoyed the ability to finance my Mac at 0%. Convenient and easy.
