How do you make a recipe eggless?

I tried google to no avail, so I figured the moms would know. How do you make a recipe for, say, muffins without eggs? Can you just swap in another ingredient, such as applesauce? Thanks in advance!

Can you try the egg substitutes in the egg section that come in cartons? You can substitute applesauce for oil or butter, but I never tried doing it with eggs.

you can buy ener-g & lots of other vegetarian cooking stuff at the potomac adventist store in silver spring. they also carry a lot of bulk grains and delicious granola, and very cheap vanilla beans.

Here's a tip about Ener-G egg replacer. It works easier and mixes better if you mix the powder in with your dry ingredients, and the water required in with the wet ingredients.
