Mom lives alone while dad is overseas. When she is home along, BP through the roof. When she stays at my house, BP is perfectly normal. She says she is not ready to go, but ALL medical tests and doctor examinations find nothing wrong. What to do? |
How old is she? It definitely sounds like anxiety plays a role. There is lab coat syndrome where seeing doctors sets off high blood pressure so in her case, it's alone-in-the-house syndrome. Both my parents are/were functional anxious people in general but became anxious and obsessive on steroids in the years before obvious dementia set it. |
