Pastry spots that serve a dark/medium roast?

Anonymous
I like a medium or dark "european-style" roast. At so many places now I can't drink the "trendy" coffee roasts because they're very sour. Wydown, Saku Saku, etc. They really are undrinkable for me. I've been able to drink medium/ light roasts from Tandem and certain other respected roasters, but I find that these styles are generally are not well executed.

Do you have a pastry spot/ cafe that serves a decent european style roast? Or at least something that isn't super light and sour? Swing's has a good one. Pete's has a good option but I'd also like to support non-chains. We tried Vigilante and it was ok. I haven't tried Lost Sock in person, but that's what Saku Saku uses so I assume that they're generally too sour/ light.

I'll check it out! I love the almond croissant at Un je ne sais Quoi, but it's always a zoo there now that they're on the Instagram/ tourist map.

I find their coffee is starting to lean sour/ medium light. I only get pastries when I go there now.
